Working On Their Family
Lloyd and Mary are busy working on building a family. Here are photos of their first 3 batches of eggs. Mary is laying 1 new batch of eggs about every month.

Here are Gary's recommendations about caring for the eggs:
- The eggs need to be separated from the adults and moved to a different terrarium, as the young hatchlings are likely to be eaten by the adults. Gary is using a 10 gallon aquarium for this purpose.
- Mark the eggs with a Sharpie marking pen to indicate the top of the egg and the batch, and keep each batch together in Tupperware-like containers - NOT sealed, of course! Gary used a Plus
Sign (+) on the first batch, 3 dots (...) on the second batch, and no markings on the newest batch.
- Both the terrarium and the individual Tupperware containers should be lined with a Peat Moss type potting soil - WITHOUT fertilizer, of course! Soil may be brushed back gently to check the eggs, then gently brushed back when done.
- The eggs should be placed in approximately the same configuration they were laid in.
- Cover the eggs with approximately 1 to 2 inches of the same Peat Moss potting soil.
- Mist the soil-covered eggs once per day, so the egg shells do not dry out - but DO NOT SOAK them!
- Keep the terrarium heated to about 85 degrees Fahrenheit with a lamp.
- Raisin-like, shriveled eggs are dead. They should be removed.
- The eggs will take about 90 days to hatch.
